Meet Fashion Blogger Robin of RobinCharmagne
My
blog is robincharmagne, which is my first and middle names. I started
blogging last year and my focus is on fashion and home décor with
tidbits of “this and that” sprinkled in as well.
How would you define your style?
My style is trendy-classic if there is such a thing. I enjoy wearing the trends but in a more classic style. For example, sky high, colorful pumps are in fashion now. I would wear a colorful pump but in a lower heel, still capturing both trends.

What are your fashion must haves?
My must have is boot cut jeans because I am petite but round and I find that boot cut jeans are more flattering on short women. It isn’t fashion per se but I have to have a good handbag with a matching watch or a good wallet. There’s nothing worse than seeing a woman beautifully styled from head to toe and then she pulls out a ratty wallet. Uh, that’s a no-no. I think accessories make the outfit and a handbag is a key element to finish a look.

Who are some of your favorite fashion designers?
My favorite designer is Ralph Lauren. His fashions are classic, timeless and never go out of style. I also respect and admire Diane von Furstenberg. She changed the industry with one item, the wrap dress that is still going strong today and expanded her talent to other products such as home décor.

What prompted you to start a blog?
My love of fashion and decorating prompted me to start robincharmagne. My nickname is The Diva; my friends always tease me about being “jazzy” all the time. And then, I redecorated my living room and everyone kept saying my home looked like something on HGTV, so I thought why not blog about the two things I really love. Blogging is so much fun and I’m learning right along with my readers.

What do you enjoy most about being a blogger?
I enjoy keeping my readers abreast of news, trends, etc. in the fashion and home décor industries. I recently did a post on Pantone and found most of my readers had never heard of it and had no idea the color of the year was determined by Pantone.

What
advice would you give any blogger who wants to market their blogs and
gain more exposure?
Content, Content, Content and Promote, Promote, Promote. Good content keeps readers coming back to your blog, but you also have to invest the time in marketing the blog, networking with other bloggers, attending fashion or lifestyle related events, and interacting with your readers. I would also say keep at it and don’t focus on being a big blogger, write about the things you love and the words will come easily.
